Field instruction for composition, light, and night photography
Sunrise & sunset shoots, we’ll get out during the best light and conditions of the day. A sunset & night photography session requires skipping sunrise.
Technique instruction and optional post-processing support
On-the-spot feedback and image refinement
Aerial photography instruction (drone imagery and video, on request)
Small group format for focused attention (typically 6 or fewer; larger groups possible with additional instructors)
Locations
I’m based out of Montrose, Colorado and primarily offer guiding in the San Juan and West Elk Mountains, including:
Ridgway, Ouray, Silverton, Telluride, Durango, Lake City, Crested Butte, Gunnison
I also lead workshops in the Southwest and Wyoming Rockies, such as:
Moab, Arches, Canyonlands, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, GSENM, Vermillion Cliffs, Great Sand Dunes, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Hanksville, Wind River Range, Grand Tetons
Travel outside Southwest Colorado may include an additional transportation charge.
Pricing
Individual (1-on-1): $750/day, $375/half-day
Small Group (up to 6): $500/person/day, $250/person/half-day
Larger groups: Available with added cost and additional instructor(s)
Workshops are fully customizable to your preferences, including location, editing techniques, and field skills. A 50% deposit reserves your dates and is due at least 60 days prior to the workshop. Full payment is required if booking within 60 days.
